World AIDS Day is on 1 December 2024.
Since 1988, communities have stood together to show strength and solidarity against HIV stigma and to remember lives lost.
Local HIV charity and Fast-Track Cities Bristol partner Brigstowe is proud to announce their events to mark this important date. Click the links for more information and booking details:
- Monday 25 November, 2.30pm: Red Ribbon Flag Raising at City Hall (no need to book)
- Saturday 30 November, 5.30pm: World AIDS Day Vigil at the Watershed
- Saturday 30 November, 6pm: World AIDS Day Celebration at the Watershed
HIV testing
In the run up to World AIDS Day, Terrence Higgins Trust is supporting free walk-in HIV testing across the region:
- Thursday 21 November, 10:30am – 1pm, Weston College, Loxton Campus, Weston Super Mare
- Monday 25 November, 9.30am – 2.30pm, East Trees Health Centre, Bristol
- Tuesday 26 November, 10:30am- 4pm, Sovereign Centre, Weston Super Mare
- Monday 2 December, 9.30am – 2.30pm, East Trees Health Centre, Bristol
